At Different Kettle, we combine many years of experience creating inspiring, award-winning creative that gets results for some of the world's leading charities, with a love of great ideas. We really are specialists in this sector and some of our clients have been with us for over a decade.

From mail packs to inserts, our work explains complex research to a non-scientific audience, and explores the personal and emotional stories about the impact of arthritis on families. The result is inspiring and human creative that regularly beats targets.

We've worked with international development charity Farm Africa since 2010, re-invigorating their events based fundraising programme. Our challenge was to create a fundraising product that would appeal to two very distinct audiences - schools and churches.

Greenpeace

Greenpeace

Greenpeace initially appointed us to develop a regular giving product to work in face-to-face marketing, online and through mail packs.

Since then, we have gone on to create eye-catching mail packs on issues from Arctic oil drilling to illegal palm oil production. We worked with their campaigners to create a series of press ads in response to the arrest of the Arctic 30 activists in 2013.

We worked with the Parkinson's UK fundraising team to create an exclusive high-value product to recruit wealthy supporters who would go on to fund some ambitious and game-changing research projects.

Working in partnership with DRTV, we developed a recruitment programme for Save the Children's brand-new fundraising project, the Save the Children Club.

Designed for children, the club introduces families to the lives of kids around the world, whilst membership gifts formed the fundraising mechanism.

Soil Association

Bristol-based charity The Soil Association campaigns for organic food. They want to create a world there we can live in health and in harmony with nature.

However, public awareness of the organisation is low and many people assume they are a government body, not a charity. Our challenge was to introduce their work to a new audience and encourage charitable giving.

CAFOD

CAFOD initially appointed us to develop a mid-value regular giving product that where donors would fund one specific project over two years.

We came up with the brand 'Hands On' - bringing to life the project and the members of the community.

CAFOD was so impressed by our Hands On work, they have since invited us to develop new legacy materials for them.

Nick Holmes

Strategic and Creative Director

Nick set up Different Kettle with Dave Sturdy in 2000. He had previously been Creative Director at Target Direct, and before that worked in a string of London agencies on a broad range of commercial clients.

He doesn't get a lot of spare time, but when he does he's usually working on his novel 'We Were Heroes'. Written for teenage boys, it features drug abuse, knife crime, social deprivation and politically incorrect language.

Tom Paice

Studio Manager

Our studio is in the experienced hands of the unflappable Tom. Having worked on a newspaper, at a print company and a number of ad agencies before joining Different Kettle, he knows pre-press inside out.

He hasn't always been a Mac-man though. After graduating in photography, Tom got a job measuring cracks for a surveyor. It is the photography that remains a passion for Tom, and you can visit his mini-studio if you ever pop round to the office.

After four years as a donor development officer at RNIB, Jess crossed the floor to come 'agency side' via a halfway stop as an account manager at charity telemarketing specialists NTT.

Jess lived in Barcelona for two years and although she insists her Spanish is rusty these days, we don't believe her - or if you prefer 'no la creemos'.
